dhcpcmd:
This utility can be used as axillary tool to administrator DHCP servers.
The usage of this tool is as given below :
usage: dhcpcmd <server ip address> <command> [<command parameters>].
commands :
1. AddIpRange
2. AddReservedIp
2. EnumClients
3. MibCounts
4. ServerConfig
Commands:
AddIpRange - can be used to add another ip range to an already existing
scope.
<parameters> - <scope address> <start ip range> <end ip range>
Ex : dhcpcmd 127.0.0.1 addiprange 11.101.0.0 11.101.4.1 11.101.4.254
AddReservedIp - can be used to add a reserved ip to an already existing
scope.
<parameters> - <scope address> <reserved ip> <hardware string>
Example: dhcpcmd 127.0.0.1 11.101.0.0 11.101.13.53 08002B30369B
EnumClients - can be used to list out the lease information in different
format.
<parameters> - <scope address> [ -v | -h]
-v - this option will list out detailed lease information.
-h - this option will list out lease information with hardware info.
Example : dhcpcmd 127.0.0.1 enumclients 11.101.0.0 -h
MibCounts - displays the current dhcp server statistic information.
ServerConfig - can be used to display current server parameters. Also
used to set server parameters.
<parameters> - <config parameter> <value>
Examples :
dhcpcmd 127.0.0.1 serverconfig
- displays current parameters.
dhcpcmd 127.0.0.1 serverconfig backupinterval 15
- sets the database backup interval to 15 mins.
