SUMMARY

This folder includes the source code for traditional Chinese IMEs. These IMEs are also bundled in Traditional Chinese Windows® 95, Windows® 98, and Windows NT®/Windows® 2000. You can refer to the source code to develop your own IMEs for Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT/Windows 2000.

BUILDING THE SAMPLE

You can use any language edition of Windows 2000 to build these samples. If you are using Windows 98 or Windows NT 4.0 as your build environment, please install Traditional Chinese Windows 98 or Windows NT 4.0.

This sample works on both x86 and Alpha platforms, and the code is 64-bit compliant. The code builds properly with Microsoft Visual C® 6.0. To install the sample, copy it to the system directory.

Note: In the Windows 95 DDK, the DDK IME header file is named Imm.h. The IME header file in the Platform SDK bears the same name, but contains different content. The Imm.h in the DDK includes APIs and data structures, which are not used for application development and so are not included in the SDK version. In this release, the DDK filename has been changed to Immdev.h. If you have old IMEs that need to build under the new DDK, please change your source code to use the new header filename.

RESOURCES

The IME documentation in the DDK is to be used for IME development. For information on development of IME-aware applications, see the IME documentation in the Platform SDK.

CODE TOUR

The same source code in the CHT folder can be built to CHAJEI, PHON, QUICK IMEs, and new EUDC character addition into IMEs. The files under each subfolder are for building each IME.
